Axxess Partners With Betterleave to Expand Bereavement Services for Clients

November 2, 2026
HomeCare Magazine covered Betterleave’s new partnership with Axxess, which gives Axxess clients access to check-ins, bereavement resources and personalized text communication that keep families connected throughout the care journey. As Cara Abbott noted, bereavement is often hospice’s longest service yet its quietest, and this partnership helps more providers replace the quarterly mailer with proactive, compassionate outreach that improves satisfaction and CAHPS performance.

DALLAS—Axxess, a global technology platform focused on how care is delivered in the home, partnered with Betterleave, a family caregiver engagement and bereavement support platform, to help providers strengthen communication and support services for families throughout the care journey.

Through this partnership, Axxess clients gain access to a platform that helps organizations stay connected with families through check-ins, bereavement resources and personalized text-based communications, while providing insights that support family satisfaction, quality improvement and consumer assessment of healthcare providers and systems (CAHPS) performance.

“Our partnership with Betterleave reflects Axxess’ commitment to helping providers support families throughout the care journey,” said Tim Ingram, executive vice president of partnerships at Axxess. “Betterleave helps clients improve family engagement, reduce administrative burden and improve satisfaction and quality outcomes.”

“Bereavement is often the longest service a hospice provides to families, and yet it’s the period of time with the least amount of communication,” said Cara Abbott, founder and CEO of Betterleave. “Partnering with Axxess means more hospice and care at home organizations can offer families proactive, compassionate communication instead of a quarterly mailer, in a way that’s time saving and reaches more families.”
